
Is information bound to be transitory, worthless in the context of history a whole? What would happen with the accumulation of information, if it's not erasable anymore? Would we produce less? What does it actually mean to swim on this surface?
Since the invention of Hypertext, three dimensional text is possible, text can almost be perceived as sculpture. It becomes multilayered like a palimpsest, cross-referential, non-linear like a web of associations, links and thoughts. But what are we supposed to be doing with all this text? How are we supposed to hold each other over the water once we dive into a multilingual thoughtprocess? What will be digested from the huge offer of mostly fast-food information? Is our fascination for information based on it's transitoriness? What would happen if every tiny bit of information turned into a drop of water within seconds? Would we drown or would we learn to remain on the surface?
