I am much further now with this proposal that I have to send out and am really happy about it. I wrote and shaped 5 pages in German today and last night, after being really desperate the last couple of days. I thought I had lost all my ability to write. I will proof it tomorrow and see everything with a fresh eye, but at the moment I am rather satisfied.
I received a letter from India today, it was nice to have a real letter in my hand wrapping three handwritten pages on transparent paper, both sides carrying lines in blue ink with white transparent space between the lines, were the other page was shimmering through. It felt like a real object to me, beautiful to hold it in my hands and making out the words, translating it into something connectable. A similar problem, trying to express thoughts coming from Hindi, a language which has such a long, deep history and suddenly you're confronted with the cruel surface of English, which is a wonderful language but mainly useful to get information across. To play with, other languages are a lot richer, there is an undefined space in between which gives you a lot of freedom. I know this is also a temptation which often leads into less clarity.
